Dear Charlotte, a lovely piece of writing, it captures your journey, highs and lows. i am pleased to hear from you that you will not let the non selection into one team be the defining epitaph of your incredible (yes it is, even though at times like this it doesnt seem so) sporting career. this setback does not define you as the incredible athlete or the great young woman you are. You still have much to achieve on the track and in life. you have the ability and dedication to go higher and further.
We look forward to catching up with you later this year, in the meantime take care of yourself.

Charlotte,
Hard as it may seem right now hopefully in time you can truly appreciate the awesome life you lead. In years to come you will be able to show your kids, nieces, nephews pictures of the amazing adventures that you had across the world.
Most people don’t enjoy what they do, I am sure that you do (as hard as it may seem right now). Be thankful for that, don’t forget you are one of the worlds best triathletes.

I have carefully followed your own adventure! I have read and commented on anywhere! (With the translator … it’s hard!) I was so disappointed! I figured that a few Australian sent me a friend request on facebook! Hahaha! it seems that all is lost, but you still have wts, and you can do much better than some selected! (At least 2!) In the past you’ve been so many times in front of them! will be a lot of satisfaction! some people will bite their hands! do the toughest sport in the world, more beautiful! and you’re so proud of it ….. and then Tokyo 2020 is not so far away! if you promise me that you enter in the top 5;-), I come to hamburg to cheer! ciao!

An excellent expression of emotion. You must be disappointed, gutted, distraught – but the depth of emotion you have shown indicates a real inner strength. Hi yes it's hard , but sometimes things happen for a reason that's not always obvious. You will learn a lot from this situation. Pain and heartache. But it will make the moments that have still to happen taste and feel better. Life a journey and it's one step at a time . Quality will always rise to the top. Focus not on the selection process that you can’t control, but how well you raced in Japan which you did control.
You have made yourself one of the worlds top triathletes and just because you won’t be in Rio that doesn’t change what a great achievement this is
